Our ‘Rule of Thumb’ Guide!
Water temperature below 12 degrees:
Choose 2 out of 3 accessories – booties and gloves, booties and a hood, or a hood and gloves. We recommend booties and gloves.
Air temperature below 10 degrees and windy:
Use all 3 accessories, including the hood.
Dislike wearing booties but have cold feet?
Strongly recommend 3mm booties!
Choosing between 3mm and 5mm booties?
In most cases, go for the 3mm. It’s sufficient for at least one session at URBNSURF.
Consider the occasion and dress appropriately!
Just as you wouldn’t go snowboarding in boardshorts, dress for the water conditions. Don’t sacrifice comfort by opting for a thinner wetsuit to appear heroic. Prioritise your enjoyment in the water over impressing others!
