Offering fun, gentle pointbreak-style waves at The Point, choose from surfing the right or left. Perfect for cruising on a longboard, mini-mal or fish!

You havn’t surfed in years, or your pop-up is 50/50. You actively look for smaller breaks where you won’t get in the way of other surfers and focus on improving your surfing.

Surfer numbers are capped at 18 on each side of The Point, so you’ll score plenty of waves!
Suitable For
Novice surfers who are learning the basics, understand surfing etiquette, and can comfortably surf unassisted. You should be able to paddle, take-off, trim along the wave face, and safely dismount.
Safety Overview
Please ensure that you have watched the safety video and completed your waiver before arriving. Please arrive 45 minutes before your session.
The water depth at The Point is 1.5 to 2.5 metres deep, there are strong currents moving throughout the lagoon including the rip to assist you in paddling out to The Point. We recommend that you can swim 50 metres confidently to do a session at The Point.

Surfing the Cruiser Session
Fun, Cruisy Waves
The waves in Cruiser surf sessions are fun, friendly, and perfect for novice surfers looking to improve their surfing and have a blast. If you love riding a longboard, mini-mal or fish at Noosa, Byron Bay or Collaroy, this is the session for you!
Day Or Night
Our state-of-the-art stadium sports lighting makes early morning and night surfing in Sydney possible, running until 10pm in the Summer months.
Limited Crowds
To ensure high wave counts, numbers are capped at 18 surfers on each side of The Point, per session. Surfer priority is managed with a strict but fair one-at-a-time system – wait your turn, and when your wave comes, it’s yours.
Access To Amenities
When you book a Cruiser surf session at The Point, you’ll also receive all-day access to URBNSURF Sydney’s amenities, including parking, leisure pool, changerooms, landscaped spaces, and a free locker to store your valuables.
Extra Safety
To ensure everyone’s safety, we’re offering free Simba helmets for use during all surf sessions, and surf guides will be in the water with you to provide tips and supervision.

Cruiser Surf Sessions

Score an hour’s worth of perfect waves on our Cruiser settings – rights or lefts – at The Point.
Numbers are capped on each side of The Point so each surfer scores around 10-12 waves per session.
Cruiser Lessons
Designed for novice surfers who want to develop their skills and progress their surfing.
You will surf with one of our expert Surf Coaches at a ratio of 1:6.
Our 1 hour and 45 minute cruiser group surf lessons include board and wetsuit hire, and cover taking off on greenwater waves, trimming and straightening out, and an introduction to bottom turns and cutbacks.
