Before Your Surf

What to expect

We recommend arriving 45 minutes before your session. First, check in at the welcome desk to get your wrist band and complete your waiver if you haven’t already done it online. Once in the park head to Rentals, the Surf Academy or if you are a regular find a spot for your gear and get ready. Complimentary locker hire is available for everyone. Surf sessions start on time (on the hour) and the mandatory safety briefing is held at the lifeguard tower and start 15 minutes before you get in the water.

What to bring

We recommend bringing your own towel, swimmers and sun cream. If you have your own gear, you are welcome to bring your own wetsuit, board and wax. URBNSURF does not offer rental towel services. If you don’t have your own gear, traveling light, forgot something or want to try the latest surf gear, our Surf Rentals and on site Surf Shop can help

A Spectator Pass will give you access to park amenities, including a lagoon side leisure pool (Sydney), hot tubs (Melbourne), change rooms and landscaped spaces to relax and take in the view. If you’re surfing, Spectator Passes are included with all surf sessions, lessons and memberships. Those who want to watch and spend the day at URBNSURF can purchase a spectator pass

During Your Surf

Once you are in the water

All sessions are one hour long. Lessons are 90 minutes long and include 30 minutes of dry land training and 60 minutes in the water.

After your safety briefing you will head into the water and paddle out against the machine if you are doing a Point session. All surfers will enjoy surfing 10 to 12 waves each.

There will be an announcement before the end of every session to inform that there are only a few sets remaining. Please catch your final wave to the shore to be fair to the next set of surfers. If you do not catch a final wave, you will be required to paddle in. Once out of the water return any hire gear if necessary, shower up in our facilities and share the stoke with others in your session

Safety is our top priority

At URBNSURF, we provide perfect, ocean-like waves in a safe and controlled environment, catering to all ages and abilities. Safety is our number one priority. We encourage guests to review our safety overview and watch our safety briefing video and ask questions.
